Braised Tomato Spareribs 蕃茄梅子骨

Spareribs, regardless if it's fried, steamed, stew or braised and it's still Mr. B's all time favorite. 

Steamed pork ribs with black bean is being cooked very often, it's easy to make and delicious!

I have tried few different recipes in preparing spareribs, personally prefer cooking it with sauce. 

Today I would like to share this appetizing spareribs recipe, Braised Tomato Spareribs.




Here is the recipe (Thermomix method) for your reference: 

Braised Tomato Spareribs 蕃茄梅子骨
(Recipe inspired by Yummy Yummy Hawkers' Fair 十分好味大牌档菜)

材料 Ingredients:
500 g 排骨 Spareribs
3 粒 蕃茄 Tomatoes, cut into pieces
15 g (1 tbsp) 蒜茸 Garlic, chopped
3 粒 水酸梅 Wet Plum, deseed and mashed

酱汁料Sauce:
1/2 tbsp (5g) 豆酱 Soy Bean Paste
2 tbsp (30g) 蕃茄酱 Tomato Sauce
1 tbsp (15g) 辣椒酱 Chili Sauce
1 tbsp (15g) 急汁 Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp (5g) 黄糖 Brown Sugar *N1
300 g 水 Water *N2

Preparation:
[Thermie]
1. Chop garlic, 3 seconds/MC/Reverse/Speed 5. Remove garlic skin by using chopsticks.
2. Sauté garlic, 3 minutes/MC/Varoma/Reverse/Soft Speed.
3. Add in tomato and wet plum to cook until fragrant, 2 minutes/MC/Varoma/Reverse/Soft Speed.
4. Put in spareribs and sauce, bring it to a boil, 8 minutes/MC/Varoma/Reverse/Soft Speed.
5. Continue to simmer until spareribs are tender, 20 minutes/MC/100°c/Reverse/Soft Speed.

Note-to-self:
N1 - can be substiuted with caster sugar or omit it if the sauce is not too sour to your liking.
N2 - adjust the quantity of water according to your own preference.
